Execute Recruiting Calls
- Monitor social networks like Indeed/Facebook System and contact all qualified applicants received through the website within 24 hours;
- Make/receive 100+ calls;
- Assist with pre-employment paperwork processing, e.g. background checks, drug tests, credit checks;
- Upload or update all information into the system for approval from Safety;
- Follow up with applicants to advise them of the progress of their application;
- Scheduling approved applicants to attend Hire Orientation;
- Collaborate with the managers daily to ensure we are hiring the correct type of drivers and finalize hiring decisions.
Operations:
- Responsible for driver including safety training, communicating safety procedures (explaining PTI, winter driving tips, equipment changes), incident reporting, etc;
- Follow up with Drivers after orientation and being hired to ensure a smooth transition into their new position;
- Keep up to date with the type of equipment that is available (i.e., tractors, trailers, etc.)
- Creating and implementing policies;
- Know and understand the department goals, and the company goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Prior Experience with the transportation industry (Recruiting/Trucking/Operation/Safety) is a MUST
- Having good time management
- Organized and effective under pressure
- Phone screening, knowing MVR, PSP reports, CDL, Clearinghouse.
- Ability to make decisions based on objective data obtained from applications and during interviews
- Skill in the use of computers
- Interviewing and pre-qualifying applicants
- Understanding of applicable DOT rules, laws and regulations.
Schedule:
✓ Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm CST
Salary to be discussed at the interview, 1099.
