The Recreation Department is seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual. This position takes dedication, hard work, effort, time & energy. This is a Seasonal position with weekly hours ranging from 32 to 50 hours per week. Holiday, evening, and weekend availability required.
Expectations & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute year-round engaging programming for guests
• Provide excellent customer service at all times; this position will require patience, a strong work ethic, the ability to level with children, as well as adults, and a passion for having fun
• Maintain knowledge of reservation system to add programming, oversee daily reservations, and charge guests
• Assist in the scheduling, payment, and insurance evaluation of recreation vendors
• Accurately maintain budget and independently complete daily closeouts
• Accurately maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies throughout the year; assist in ordering and maintaining inventory for various assigned summer events
• Assist in the organization and cleanliness of all Recreation offices, storage areas, and facilities
• Be a leader and authoritative role model for the interns and recreation staff.
• Aid seasonal staff & interns in their daily tasks and discipline when and as necessary.
• Must be comfortable speaking on a microphone to large crowds
• Be able to work well under pressure and in circumstances of change, be flexible and able to make quick and appropriate decisions
• Play an integral part in the KIGR Triathlon and Marathon by taking on a key role
• Uphold the core values and policies and procedures of the resort
• Must be trained and knowledgeable in, each program and service KIGR offers in each division of Recreation - events, lessons, teen activities, camps, and crafts
• Minimum of 8 hours per week assisting other Recreation departments required during off-season
• All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• College degree preferred, but not required
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record required.
• Must attend beach driving course provided by KIGR
• First Aid and CPR certifications are required
• Excellent telephone, interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills required; high aptitude for computer programs will be imperative
• Must excel in working both independently and in a team environment.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
• Must be able to lift and carry minimum weight of 50 lbs. across short-medium distances.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, intense work environment, sometimes under extreme heat and stress.
