Job Description
$16.75 per hour; $33.50 per hour on Holidays
Heinzerling Community is currently seeking a part time Weekend & Holiday Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our organization, you will greet visitors, operate a multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls, and direct callers to appropriate personnel by performing the following duties:
- Welcomes visitors, determines the nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel
- Answers and determines purpose of incoming telephone calls, screens and forwards calls appropriately in a polite and friendly manner
- Receives and delivers messages or transfers calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
- Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, etc.
- Monitors visitor access and issues visitor badges when required
- Issues temporary badges to employees
- Follows established procedures for receptionist in case of fire, severe weather, etc.
- Assists with special projects upon request
- Participates in initial, required, and ongoing staff development trainings and in-services
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Excellent attendance, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to speak and act with friendly, patient, and pleasant demeanor
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly (for answering the phone and paging over the intercom)
- Basic computer skills with email, Word, and Excel helpful
