General Summary

Assist in building and/or deepening valued financial relationships with professionalism, patience and a "people first" attitude, by actively recommending and cross-selling COPOCO Community Credit Union products and services that best meet members and potential members financial needs.


Primary Function

Be the first point of contact for all walk in members and phone inquiries. Performs a variety of support duties related to all credit union functions. Answering questions on products and services and cross-selling multi-products to members.


Reception Skills and Qualifications

Member service, attention to detail, general math skills, verbal / written communication skills, integrity, selling to member needs, people skills, financial skills, keyboarding skills, 10-key calculator skills, ability to learn software, thoroughness and clear documentation skills. Proficient in Excel and Word software. Ability to gather information needed to completely help the member, filing skills; telephone skills; mental alertness; neatness in appearance; punctuality; possesses the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Employee must follow all compliance with BSA / OFAC Policies and Procedures and any other compliance with regulations pertaining to job position.
  • Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
  • Signing in all visitors to the building and provide visitor badge.
  • Keeping a general pulse on the flow of members to Member Services and Lending.
  • Provide in person and over the phone general and specific service related information on credit union products and services.
  • Serves as part of the Call Center Team focused on answering phone calls by the second ring, determines the nature of the member's needs and resolves member's questions, problems and complaints or refers the member to a suitable colleague.
  • Promotes products and services based on identified member needs.
  • Screens calls for Management/Supervisor team to alleviate sales calls at bad times.
  • Schedules and performs alarm test quarterly with the assigned Security Officer.
  • Notary Public.
  • Responsible for unlocking passwords and setting up new COPOCO@home accounts for members.
  • Process address changes, payroll cards, stop payments, printouts and transfers for members.
  • Responsible for responding to phone calls on new accounts and providing back up for new account opening.
  • Creating new debit/ATM cards, repining debit/ATM cards. Also has a sign in to Client Central.
  • Issues Visa Cards in conjunction with the loan department. Log in and familiarity with VISA OA required.
  • Responsible for processing mail in VISA payments and other mailed in payments/deposits.
  • When necessary to prompt top notch member service, may reverse two ($70) in ODP fees.
  • Orders checks for members with a ticket to Member Services.
  • Assists Loan Department with lien releases and filing.
  • Handles returned mail according to policy.
  • Balances Vault and Cash Machine at end of day.
  • Processes audit on File Maintenance.
  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services.
  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of marketing promotions and Credit Union goals.
  • Comply with and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all related policies and procedures, rules and regulations (but not limited to) all dual-control functions; fair lending, and robbery procedures.
  • Report malfunctions of any equipment in a ticket to the systems department.
  • Volunteer for Community Events the credit union supports. For example, Bay County Relay for Life. Record all volunteer hours (events where you represent COPOCO Community Credit Union), within payroll system under Community Involvement or Business Development.
  • Attend educational courses, seminars, programs and workshops to increase job knowledge.
  • Contributes to team effort by performing other tasks that may be assigned by Supervisor or Management.
