Receptionist

```Job Overview```
Prunedale Optometry is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and creating a positive impression for our patients. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and have experience working in a front desk or administrative role.

```Duties```

° Greet and welcome patients in a professional and friendly manner

° Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate person

° Scheduling and confirming appointments

° Verifying insurance and obtaining insurance authorizations

° Taking payments

° Recalling patients for yearly appointments

° Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation

```Requirements```
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Computer-savvy and able to adapt to new software

- Familiarity with copiers, printers, fax machines and multi-line phones
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and proofreading
- Knowledge of front desk operations in either an dental, optometric or medical office is a plus

Our office is open to patients Monday through Thursday. We are closed for business on Fridays and weekends. This position's hours will be 6 hours (Thursdays) to 7-8 hours (Monday through Thursday) a day; therefore, approximately 24 to 32 hours a week.
