Receptionist (Clerk Typist II)
The mission of CMU is to plan with and support adults and children with mental disabilities, and their families when appropriate, to live full and inclusive lives within their communities. This will be achieved by providing support to access resources, both within the community and within the public systems for mental health, intellectual and developmental disability programs and early intervention services.
This position serves as a receptionist for CMU under the supervision of the Clerical Supervisor.
Receptionists embrace the values and principles of the agency, treating those they encounter with dignity and offering respectful customer service.
Daily responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Greeting consumers/guests in a professional, respectful manner
· Answering the agency’s incoming calls and forwarding them to assigned staff
· Paging/Messaging staff when necessary
· Process incoming agency mail – open and distribute to staff mailboxes
· Process outgoing mail – putting postage on mail and preparing it for postal carrier
· Removing voice mail messages from the general voice mailbox and forwarding to appropriate staff
· Copying projects
· Assist with agency’s bulk mail projects
· Postage Meter – operation and adding postage to meter as needed
· Conference Rooms – Act as back up for opening/closing wall
· Keep reception area and waiting area tidy on a daily basis
· Back up for maintaining copiers and copy machine counts
Participates in staff meetings and training events.
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Follows written procedures for emergencies.

Salary - $17.00 - $17.70 hourly
Qualifications:
· Preferred Experience and Training: Post-secondary education relevant to the position and previous clerical and customer service experience. Bilingual skills not required but highly desirable.
· Minimum Experience and Training: High school diploma or equivalent and six clerical experience
· Act 33 and 34 clearances are required. EOE.
