Under the supervision of the Office Manager and the ADOS, the Receptionist will greet and welcome visitors in a friendly manner, answer and direct phone calls using a multi-line phone system, provide information to callers and visitors about the organization and its services. The Receptionist will schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendars, assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying and data entry, and will need to be available in this capacity for assistance with special agency projects. The Receptionist will receive and sort mail and deliveries and maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully an individual needs to be very organized and possess an eye for detail. They must be multi-tasked, flexible and have good people skills. Basic computer knowledge in Windows and Excel is needed to complete the essential functions of the job.
Education:
Minimum requirement: High school graduate or equivalent. Qualified employees should have some general computer knowledge and have worked in an office environment for at least 2 years.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit, squat, bend, carry with two hands, and operate a switchboard, walk, stamp, and write, type on a keyboard, use a phone and file. Occasionally this employee will be required to lift 25 lbs., stand and/or walk up and down stairs for approximately 4 hours. They must be capable of hearing at a normal speaking level and talking over the phone and in person. This job is rated as moderate in its overall level of physical activity.
