Receiver - Shipping 1St & 2Nd Shift $20.75

Overview: Scope of the Position:

Verifies information for product received against shipping records, examining incoming shipments, documenting variances and off-loads raw steel and plastics from incoming trucks.

Responsibilities:

• Enters inventory and non-inventory items into AS400 and receives items into system as they are received in plant
• Able to operate overhead crane
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Operates Fork lift truck or uses hand truck to move and hoist shipments from platform to storage or work area
• Completes documentation required by department
• Trained on work instructions easily identifies location of work instructions in department
• General awareness and knowledge of TS/QS9000, environmental standards, and how it affects the department
• Understands the requirement and use of Personal Protective Equipment
• Has general awareness of safety requirements and regulations
• Must have good attendance and solid safety record
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Wears gloves (Kevlar or rubber), steel toe shoes, safety glasses, ear protection

• Must have visual acuity, near and far, for inspection and placement of product, reading labels, ability to see others and safety

• Building heated, not air-conditioned, and may work some outside in all weather

• Must have a minimum of high school diploma or GED

• Must be able to communicate in English

• Must have general awareness of AS400 and be computer literate

• Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal
