Receiving & Stock Puller

Position: Receiving & Stock Puller
Reports to: Upholstery supervisor, Cannelton

Job Summary: Deliver stock to the manufacturing area and put away incoming stock. Other duties may be assigned.

Stock pulling:

• Check all lines at end of shift to ensure stock is available for morning production schedule.
• Pull parts as required, from BOM, in order, according to finished goods report.
• Using the hand held scanner, enter the part number desired to locate the oldest purchase order and the storage location for that part. After the location is identified, scan and pull the stock from the location and stage to designated production area.
• Deliver product/supplies to line within 15 minutes of notification from line leaders. Ensure bands are cut, plastic removed and/or lid removed before staging product/supplies to lines.

Put away process:

• Assists with unloading of trailers.
• Verify packing list is accurate. Communicate to Supervisor any errors.
• Stage product to designated area. All products must be placed in designated area before leaving at the end of the day.
• Ensure incoming product is placed in the empty racks before staging the product in other areas.

Job expectations:

• First priority is to keep product/supplies pulled to the lines.
• Always use oldest part first to ensure stock rotation.
• Stage empty skids/totes to the designated locations throughout the day.
• Ensure that stocking locations & aisle ways are kept neat, clean, and organized.
• Assist with physical inventory.
• Perform all required incoming inspection to assure that the available stock is a usable product.

Job requirements:

• Achieve forklift certification and safely operate forklift.
• Ability to lift boxes of supplies (up to 70 lbs.).
• Possess strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
