We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Real Estate Accounting Manager to join our team and oversee the accounting functions for our dynamic Real Estate division.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Oversight: Oversee and manage all accounting functions for the Real Estate division, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Collaboration: Act as a liaison with the corporate accounting team, collaborating on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger matters to maintain financial integrity.
- Financial Analysis: Create and analyze proformas for build-to-suit opportunities. Review these analyses with Management for underwriting and pricing decisions. Analyze new lease and renewal deals, and communicate budget vs. actual performance with Management.
- Cash Flow Management: Update Cash Flow projections for Real Estate projects, including financed and non-financed initiatives, bond sales, asset acquisitions, and dispositions. Maintain the Open Project Summary for construction and capital expenditure project tracking.
- Property Tax Management: Update and analyze schedules for over 150 property tax accounts. Review and make decisions on appeals and litigations annually, in collaboration with a 3rd party property tax firm. Communicate directly with County appraisal districts regarding abatements, account revisions, and valuations as needed. Work with the Sr. Property Manager to calculate and revise tenant billings, review, code, and track invoices and reimbursements.
- Real Estate Transactions: Update and review hold/buy/sell analyses with Management. Work on Purchase and Sale Agreements, due diligence items, and closing documents in coordination with brokers, attorneys, title companies, and lenders.
- Financing Coordination: Prepare and submit Requests for Financing, compile loan due diligence, coordinate appraisals, review documentation with attorneys, calculate and submit loan draws, and provide related backup as necessary. Maintain communication with lenders for consents, releases, changes, and loan covenants/financials. Review and analyze loan term sheets with Management for financing decisions when applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Real Estate Accounting and financial management.
- Proficiency in Real Estate Accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- QuickBooks Desktop preferred
