OVERVIEW
This R&D Technician role within the Dairy R&D team supporting different initiatives across our kid and emerging brand (Oui, :ratio, Haagen-Dazs) product portfolio’s. This role will partner with the R&D Scientist team to deliver on high quality pilot plant testing and partnership with other members of this team. In this role you will learn a variety of dairy technology processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- General project support (at the direction of others) with a focus on dairy development and innovation. This role will also provide broad support across the team.
- Plan & execute pilot plant testing
- Manage our real time product sensory program
- Support other lab / analytical needs as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's Degree or High School Diploma with 3-5 years of directly relatable experience
- 1+ year experience in a similar field (Food product development or manufacturing experience)
- Comfortable in processing (pilot plant or plant) environment; comfortable operating equipment
- Basic understanding of food safety and human safety with strong problem solving skills and drive for action
- Ability to communicate effectively and contribute in a team environment
- Agile, ability to flex across teams within the platform as work needs shift
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong aptitude for technology; highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Interpersonal ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization to advance your work
- Proven work record of attendance and performance
- Ability to assess and solve technical/mechanical problems
- Effectively manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $43300.00 - $59600.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role.
