Revit Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Revit Technician plays a crucial role in the creation and management of building information models (BIM) using Autodesk Revit software. This position requires a keen attention to detail, technical proficiency, and effective collaboration with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Create and manage accurate detailed building information models (BIM) related to cold-formed steel framing using Autodesk Revit

· Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure the BIM reflects design intent and meets industry standards and codes

· Generate construction documentation, including cold-formed steel framing floor plans, elevations, sections, and details

· Coordinate with contractors to facilitate a smooth construction process

· Create and modify Revit families, such as cold-formed steel wall assemblies, doors, window, and fixtures, as needed

· Develop and maintain project templates and standards for consistency across all projects

· Troubleshoot technical issues related to Revit software or BIM models

· Communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders

· Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.

· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

· May be required to stand, walk, climb, balance, sit, bend, squat, kneel, twist, crouch, crawl, and reach for long periods of time in an office and manufacturing shop setting

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

· Minimum education of Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent is required

· 2+ years’ of Revit experience is required

· Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are required

· Design and quality control experience in product manufacturing preferred

· Experience in cold-formed steel detailing experience preferred

· Experience with CAD programs is preferred

· Knowledge of building codes and standards

· Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills

· Adept in risk and reliability analyses

· Must be able to prioritize work to meet scheduled deadlines while handling multiple tasks

· Ability to function as a team player

· Superior organizational and time management skills
