Job Details
Laboratory Operations: Perform tasks with minimal supervision in R&D laboratories, analyzing results, and reporting findings to higher-level technical employees.
Equipment Expertise: Use technical competence to diagnose and resolve problems with existing equipment or systems, including overseeing the Metallography Laboratory and serving as a backup operator for scanning electron microscopes.
Field Exposure: Periodically work in the mill and field environment, with some exposure to heat/cold, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and wearing safety equipment.
Travel Requirements: Expect travel up to 20-25% of work hours, including some international travel.
Qualifications: Require good verbal communication skills, computer skills, ability to work in a team environment, and preferably prior work experience in a manufacturing environment and metallography/mechanical testing experience.
