R&D Lab Engineer

The R&D Lab Engineer is responsible for maintaining the R&D Lab. This includes performing various tests including lifecycle, performance, and failure analysis. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the R&D Lab. After completing tests, the Lab Engineer will compile the findings into concise reports of findings to refer to in the future.

• Find solutions to engineering problems.
• Design, perform, and report various tests including lifecycle testing, product performance, and product prototypes.
• Perform statistical analysis on dispense systems to meet customer requirements (CPK Studies)
• Research and Test Customer Materials for potential projects
• Perform failure analysis on returned equipment
• Participate in all company functions and meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills

• Degree in Engineering or Related Technical Degree
• Experience in 3D CAD design software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Employee is skilled in using associated PC software including Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Solid Electromechanical system testing ability is required.

• Mechanical Skills (Able to use basic hand tools and power tools)
• Understanding of basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic Systems
• Basic understanding of programming and logic

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a project manager involving coordinating peer activities to completion. This position also acts as a mentor for other positions in the company to grow functional knowledge.
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for installation support or service on domestic trips usually within driving distance of our headquarters, a short flight, or occasional international trips of typically less than 1 week in length.
