Job Description
Summary of Job: The Systems Analyst II, is a mid-level position that will analyze, design, develop and maintain the EHR and Organizational Software systems to meet the complex needs of RI International users. Ensuring all aspects of the system enhancements and changes meet development standards and requirements. The ability to troubleshoot the systems from both a system administrator and database perspective is critical to this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interprets, analyzes and designs clinical systems, data and information.
  • Modifies the RCM tables, forms and to allow accurate service data capture.
  • Monitors and reports quality data as related to the RCM and clinical software applications.
  • Maintains revision and approval system for requested configuration changes.
  • Collaborates with EDI Departments
  • Monitors electronic ticketing and case systems.
  • Provides technical support, diagnosis of application errors and troubleshooting with system issues.
  • Builds and enhances template sets and documents that meet the needs of the enterprise.
  • Writes specifications, designs, builds, tests, and implements programming code.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and designs solutions for RCM forms and documents with reported defects.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams in developing RCM solutions and organizational reporting.
  • Contributes to team effectiveness and efficiency through sharing knowledge, providing feedback regarding best practices, writing tools and utilities
  • Provides input on system change requests and enhancements.
  • Develops and maintains source-code control documents.
  • Reviews and obtains sign-off on all system changes, following quality assurance processes before moving to production.
  • Collaborates on specialized projects

  • Implements and maintains interoperability services
  • Software analysis, diagnosis and problem solving
  • Acts as a liaison between the IT development group and business users in the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems
  • Analyzes current and future business needs relating to system application requirements and recommends solutions to business software system problems.
  • Analyzes complex business problems and works with clients to determine their business needs to transform them into information technology system requirements and recommends alternative methods for meeting those needs.
  • Identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost-effective manner to ensure effective delivery of solutions.
  • Analyzes business processes and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements, configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing.
  • Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives. Ensures the efficient transfer of in-depth product and/or applications knowledge to users.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of healthcare applications
  • Skill in coordinating and working with multiple locations.
  • Ability to translate business-related and service delivery language to RCM configuration requirements.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in HIPAA requirements and how they relate to information systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and analytical processing
  • Preferred
  • Experience in RCM development such as Avatar, Epic, Cerner or NextGen
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • 3-5 years working experience or equivalent experience or associate's degree in computer-related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare experience a plus.

Driving Requirements:
  • If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in RI International driving policy.
  • If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.

Physical Demands:
May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
Work Environment
Office environment with moderate noise.
