About the Role:
RASyn is seeking an innovative, self-motivated, and team-oriented Sr. Research Associate / Associate Scientist in Molecular Biology, with a passion for developing and optimizing assays to support droplet-based single-cell sequencing and analysis. In your role, you will design and execute experiments, analyze data and report findings. The successful candidate should have good analytical and communication skills and be excellent at assay optimization and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and perform Molecular Biology experiments, including nucleic acid isolation, PCR/qPCR and emulsion PCR, and custom library preparation and QC for Illumina sequencing
- Perform routine cell culture maintenance and prepare samples for molecular or cellular assays, primarily focused on human T and B cell lines
- Assist with droplet-based assay development and optimization
- Analyze and summarize data, report findings, follow and write protocols, and maintain detailed lab notebook
- Contribute to laboratory maintenance tasks, including ordering and maintaining reagents for cell culture and Molecular Biology experiments
- BS/MS in Molecular Biology, cell biology, immunology or a related field
- 2+ years relevant experience with Molecular Biology and cell culture, pharmaceutical or biotech preferred
- Experience and expertise in common Molecular Biology experiments, with strong data presentation skills
- Experience working with human cell culture, able to independently maintain cell culture and prepare samples for bio-assays
- Experience with library preparation for Illumina and/or Nanopore sequencing
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
- Experience with immunology research, TCR/BCR-seq and/or droplet generation/emulsification is a plus
