- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Radiation Therapist
- Profound understanding of departmental functions, the purpose of radiation therapy, and the ability to communicate this effectively to nurses, physicians, Medical Center staff, and the public
- Prior experience in a Radiation Oncology Department is desirable but not required
- Administer radiation therapy in accordance with the treatment plan prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, patients' families, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive healthcare environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in departmental functions and possess the ability to educate and inform others about the principles and applications of radiation therapy.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the delivery of radiation therapy.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to contribute to the comprehensive care of patients undergoing radiation therapy.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiation therapy techniques and technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Adherence to ethical standards and patient confidentiality.
- Prior experience in a Radiation Oncology Department.
