Radar Systems Engineer
Electronic Warfare Associates, Inc. (EWA) is a global company offering a wide variety of technology, products, and services in niche markets. EWA provides engineering products and services to government and commercial markets in cyber defense, radar development, intelligence, security, training, tactical mission planning, information management, and force protection.
The Radar Systems Engineer will support EWA Government Systems Inc. (GSI), a subsidiary located in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. EWA GSI supports DoD and international customers by planning, implementing, and testing systems and software for advanced radar and threat simulator systems. We specialize in the development of advanced Radar Systems and radar related products for the Department of Defense and other U.S. Government agencies. Our radar programs involve all phases of development from requirements generation through hardware and software design, fabrication, integration, and test.
Position Summary:
EWA GSI is seeking a multi-faceted Radar Systems Engineer to support all phases of radar system development, integration, and test. They will perform radar analysis and simulation and help develop radar system-level and subsystem-level requirements. In addition, the Engineer will provide technical guidance for subsystem development and implementation and provide support for system integration and testing. Excellent communication skills are required, as the ability to support customer relations and management reporting requirements is essential. The Engineer will be an integral part of the team and the projects they will support.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Possess at least an active Secret clearance.
- 5-15 years of experience in Radar Systems, including:
- Radar and radar-related concepts such as the Doppler effect, detection theory, tracking, digital signal processing (FFT, IIR/FIR filtering, etc.), waveform generation, receiver design, and antenna theory
- Use of MATLAB for analysis or simulation
- System-level and/or subsystem-level requirements and specifications
- System integration and test
- Experience with use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Desired/Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with RF, analog, digital, or microwave hardware design
- Use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.
- Expert level proficiency in MATLAB
- Familiarity with software development, C++, and Linux operating systems
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Systems Engineering
