GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible to lead and support the Estimating Team. Collaborating daily between the customer base, NASG internal departments and external vendors to achieve superior product design with lowest possible cost in alignment with NASG's business plan for growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Provide overall direction and leadership to the estimating team.
B. Manage workload of the department. Prioritize and distribute tasks accordingly.
C. Review all initial RFQ's for feasibility and NASG core-competency.
D. Review and approval of all quotations in a competitive regard, including recommended
process/blank development.
E. Direct interface with Customers, Vendors and NASG Manufacturing Plants. Assist in the development of positive customer and vendor relationships to obtain mutually beneficial objectives.
F. Responsible for key objectives, as required. Ontime quoting, sales goal and to prioritize workload, schedule accordingly and work extra hours as required to ensure customer needs are met.
G. Strong attention to detail to confirm that items are not overlooked, affecting customer relations.
H. Responsible for training estimators on best practices and efficiency when reviewing opportunities.
I. Work closely with the sales team to coordinate and prioritize opportunities.
J. Conduct oneself as a role model within the company and the community.
K. Performs other duties as required or requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Preferred Associates Degree in related field
Preferred Post-Secondary Technical Trade School in related field
3 - 5 years of stamping and assy cost estimating required
Tooling background a plus
Experience:
Basic CAD and drawing software experience
Minimum 3 years stamping experience or related field (Automotive preferred)
Blueprint reading, including geometrical dimensions and tolerance
