Apera AI is growing its Sales Applications Engineer team who partner with Sales and Customers to enable success implementing AI-powered robotic vision in their manufacturing facilities. Use your automation engineering knowledge and interpersonal skills to specify and design robotic workcells that expand how robots are used in advanced manufacturing.
Successful applicants will reside in the following states: Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, or Georgia.
Your role will include:
- Use your knowledge and creativity to specify and design robotic workcells using the company's AI-powered vision software.
- Collaborate with our new and returning customers, Certified Partners and sales team to define customer problems and present possible solutions.
- Expand accounts by exploring customer needs and developing leads for sales team.
- Ensure customer success with the thorough implementation of customer requirements.
- Define automation solutions for customers in industries such as automotive, aerospace, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods and more within applications such as robotic bin picking, packaging, machine tending and assembly.
- Write detailed technical proposals and presentations that connect Apera AI's technological advantages with the customer's key requirements.
- Communicate application knowledge and customer's experience to engineering team and enrich current and future product development.
- Daily, employ your excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards.
Desired qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in automation, robotics, machine vision, or related.
- Bachelor or Master's degree.
- Demonstrated experience installing automation projects within your team.
- You are recognized as highly skilled at solving complex customer cases on your team.
- Can demonstrate how you positively impact company culture and build trust.
- Demonstrated experience with robotic or vision system installation projects
- Must have a working knowledge of robotics, vision systems, automation principles and manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication skills, and proven ability to influence others and expand accounts.
- Must be proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
