We are looking for a SASE Pre-Sales Consulting Systems Engineer in the Southeast area to overcome and remove all technical barriers in the sales process. You will work with regional account managers to develop new business while interfacing directly with customers and partners. The SE role will require you to act as a trusted technical advisor who can effectively position the Edge Connect Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) and Axis SSE solutions. Ongoing consultation with customer post-sales will be needed to ensure renewals and follow on business. This position will be located in the Southeastern United States and travel will be 20+/-%. Access to a major airport will be beneficial. You will report to the Enterprise Southeast Regional SE Manager.

How You'll Make Your Mark:

  • You will sell to and persuade technical personnel at medium and large enterprises on the value of SASE and Aruba Networking
  • You'll deliver pre-sales presentations and demonstrations to customers and partners
  • You will support sales efforts through on-site meetings, group presentations and marketing activities
  • You will manage and own all technical aspects of the sales cycle
  • You will architect, install and configure the EdgeConnect virtual and hardware appliances into customer environments for proof-of-concept and production deployments
  • You'll own the technical relationship with customers, partners and resellers through technical training, problem escalation and new feature requests
  • You'll maintain strong market awareness and knowledge of competitive technologies to best position Aruba.
  • You will provide prompt feedback to and be ready to aid product management and engineering on future direction of the product
  • You will travel to trade shows, marketing events and Aruba headquarters
  • You'll participate in discussions with marketing and engineering teams on new product introductions and provide feedback

About You:

  • A BSCS degree and or 4+ years of experience as a pre-sales Systems/Sales Engineer
  • Technical certifications are a plus (e.g. VCP, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, JNCP)
  • Outgoing and creative
  • You have the ability to demonstrate a knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)
  • Consulting and Support Skills with Secure Services Edge
  • On-Prem and Cloud Based Firewalls
  • Experience working with VLANs and IP subnetting
  • Experience using routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
  • Knowledge and experience creating access control lists (ACLs) on routers and switches
  • Recent experience using the CLI on major routers and switch vendors
  • Ability to present to an audience of mixed roles and technical abilities within an organization
  • Troubleshooting skills that include hands-on experience with the configuration of networking gear
  • Working knowledge of the installation and configuration of virtual machines on major hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Competent troubleshooting skills on the installation and configuration of hypervisors and operating systems
  • BSCS or equivalent degree and 6+ years of experience as a pre-sales Systems/Sales Engineer
  • Technical certifications are a plus (VCP, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCP)
  • Python and DevOps skills are also a plus

Annual Salary: $139,700.00 - $313,900.00
