Position Summary
Highest-level painter, able to set up and run any order, troubleshoots problems, and repairs paint related equipment. Responsible for training Painter 1 and Painter 2.
Incumbent is able to effectively train, coordinate and communicate with all departments.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
ØUnderstands that the utilization of fresh air hoods must be used at all times when painting in a booth or inside of our paint kitchen areas.
ØMust demonstrate and maintain standard work guidelines while meeting established cycle times.
ØMust understand and perform the paint flush process.
ØMust participate in preventative maintenance activities.
ØMust participate in daily housekeeping and 6s projects to maintain an orderly work area.
ØMust insure proper lighting and airflow parameters are met prior to painting product.
ØMust understand E-Stat application and when not to use.
ØResponsible for training and all other painters and communicating with them daily
ØFull understanding of paint kitchens and set up.
ØCan paint in any booth and setup for any color as needed.
ØRebuild and/or repair painting equipment on an entry level basis.
ØPerforms mill checks as needed to insure proper application is met.
ØOther duties as assigned
Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
ØMust possess working knowledge of paint booth.
ØHave ability to change over color modules for paint booths.
ØPossess troubleshooting skills
ØMust be able to read and understand bill of material.
ØComplete understanding of coating process and the technology with it.
ØGood communication skills and must be able to answer all technical questions about the process.
ØExcellent organization skills
ØStrong Leadership ability
ØAbility to effectively train, coordinate and communicate with all departments
Education / Training Required
ØInternal training per standard operating procedures and training sheet (Standard Work Instructions)
ØForklift license
Ø1-3 years experience as entry level painter
