Position Summary

Description

This position performs QA tasks required to ensure products received and manufactured meet required specifications, performs testing of returned customer products to help determine the condition of products and potential need to purchase replacement filters and maintains portions of the quality management system at the site.

Job requirements

  • Perform daily QA checks and auditing of manufactured products.
  • Perform incoming inspection of raw materials.
  • Maintain site quality systems, including document control and calibration.
  • Perform calibration of measuring devices at the site.
  • Perform filter and media testing of returned customer filters using various test equipment at multiple sites in town and create the related test reports.   Requires safely handling and lifting dirty filters weighing as much as 50 pounds and cutting samples from filters for testing. 
  • Perform lab testing to support NPI programs.
  • Maintain a clean test lab environment.
  • Perform monthly review of process performance (track and trend).
  • Complete special projects related to quality and process improvement activities as assigned.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Utilize MS Office software (Word and Excel) to create and update documents.
  • Utilize ERP system (Oracle) as needed for material transactions and generating product labels.
  • Utilize ETQ for document control and calibration management.
  • Scan and save site quality records.
  • Be an active member of the Site Safety Team and complete related activities.
  • Assist with warehouse operations as needed.
