As a Quality Technicianat Markem-Imaje, you will be working as part of the manufacturing quality team to perform quality tests for chemical production, drive resolution of quality issues experienced on the production floor as well as at the customer site and participate in continuous improvement of products and processes. You’ll have an opportunity to contribute to an organization committed to and focused on improving product and process quality through continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma and other problem-solving techniques.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspects and tests products, raw materials and/or processes to ensure conformance to specifications and standards.
- Interaction with GC, Karl Fischer, Viscometer, DSC, TGA, Rheometer, Spectrometer.
- Inputs test data from the various tests into the appropriate Quality Assurance databases. • Records and tracks non-conformances in product/raw material quality.
- Assists Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Process Engineering in root cause analysis and corrective action for non-conformances.
- Maintains lab equipment and performs gage calibrations.
- Maintains and updates inspection plans/quality procedure and suggests improvements in them.
- Performs statistical quality control to identify trends in product/raw material quality.
- Fosters continuous improvement by being a member various quality and lean teams
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 2-4 year degree preferred
- 1-5 years of experience in chemical quality assurance
- 1-5 years’ experience with Laboratory testing instrumentation.
- Team player, detail orientated • Proficient in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
