Founded in 1964, Iroquois Industries, Inc. is a privately held corporation headquartered in Warren, Michigan. Over the past 50 years, Iroquois has evolved into a world class automotive supplier and currently operates with a skilled workforce of over 400 individuals. Spanning over 600,000 square feet, in seven facilities, Iroquois is a multidisciplinary company with the capability to design, validate, prototype and manufacture fully functional production metal components and welded assemblies across four commodities: Body in White, Chassis, Powertrain, and Suspension.
We are currently looking for a qualified candidate to join our Engineering Team as a Quality Systems Engineer Assistant.
Job Summary:
The position responsibilities entail systems development and general plant Quality Support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and follow PPAP Submissions to customers and suppliers.
- Work with Engineering to ensure all APQP timing requirements are met.
- Institute and track all FPSC procedures within a responsible plant.
- Ensure that all customer requirements are met regarding initial plant builds prior to PPAP.
- Work with Engineering and tooling to review initial sample run parts and determine if any adjustments are needed.
- Ensure that all recyclable items are completed and meet all customer and government standards.
- Work with customer and Iroquois engineering departments to aid in the development of tolerances, datum schemes and processing schemes for large assembly operations.
- Responsible for blueprint review, control, and distribution.
- Analyze Defects and incorporate Corrective Actions.
- Prepare FMEA, Control Plan and Process Instructions.
- Follow all new jobs and all engineering changes first 300 pieces.
- Follow Lay Out of sample parts / organize initial run ( PSO ) with customer and initiate capability study.
- Check and prepare Prototypes for shipment.
- Participate in engineering meeting and report on all new jobs progress.
- Tracking and updating Customer complaints and Customer Corrective Action.
- Assist Q.C. Inspectors in their daily activities, questions they might have concerning the Quality of products.
- Execute all job responsibilities in accordance with TS-16949 requirements.
- Other job responsibilities, not specifically listed here, that may be determined necessary by the Quality Director.

Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older with the ability to work extended hours
- Must be able to prove United States work eligibility
- Demonstrates the skills required or aptitude and motivation to master the required skills, essential duties, and responsibilities with reasonable supervision and training
- Preferred Education and/or Experience, but not required: Associate Degree / or 7 years of equivalent work experience in the Automotive Quality field
- Knowledge of Quality Systems
- Knowledge of Computer systems ( Microsoft, Excel )
- Familiar with stampings
- Demonstrate the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. If required by a job, must demonstrate the ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the company
