Quality Support Associate (Medical Assistant)
Status: Full- time, 40 hours per week, Non-Exempt

Summary:
The Quality Associate, under supervision of the Director of Quality has the responsibility to perform administrative duties for the department and support the Quality Business Partners to ensure the quality department’s goals and performance measures are met. This position will also work with the Quality Improvement Specialist, assisting with CPR training and supporting other quality initiatives (EAGLE, PAC, etc) as assigned by the QIS, in coordination with the Director of Quality & Education.
This position is responsible for ensuring team member training records are complete and accurate, compliance with annual education and/or certification requirements are tracked, reports are shared with department managers, and records are current in our HRIS software.
The Quality Associate will assist with management of the Relias learning system, data tracking and reporting of vaccinations, and other duties that support the quality initiatives of the department. Will also be responsible for coordinating and facilitating team member COVID testing as required by the State of Michigan, OSHA and CMS. Testing includes routine scheduled testing, unplanned outbreak testing, symptomatic testing, and all data collection/reporting that accompanies testing. Testing may also include assisting with resident testing, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a minimum of a Medical Assistant training; nurse training a plus (nursing classes, student nurse, etc)
- Must have strong organization skills with experience in database creating and maintaining.
- Must possess the ability to plan and organize effectively, as well as establish, implement, and maintain effective working and public relations with varied employee levels and departments.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Demonstrated experience with use of learning software programs or online portal data programs.
