Job Description
Joining our team to meet the demands of customers nationwide, you will report to the Quality Manager and work onsite at the Indianapolis, IN manufacturing plant. As a Quality Supervisor, you will provide guidance, technical assistance, and scheduling to quality assurance technicians and associates. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of quality and safety, including audits, HACCP program evaluation, GMP training, collaboration with operations personnel on quality and safety issues, inspection of returned and incoming products, addressing customer complaints, implementing procedures, and evaluating new equipment installation or repair.
Responsibilities:
- Lead quality assurance activities such as audits, training, and purchasing.
- Provide technical training to QA personnel.
- Monitor and verify the HACCP plan's CCPs.
- Conduct facility GMP and food safety inspections.
- Coordinate with production in monitoring packaging lines for control of weights, metal detection, codes, and product/package integrity.
- Verify that operations control systems are functional and being followed.
- Manage product holds, releases, or dispositions; evaluate damaged products.
- Coordinate the resolution of customer complaints.
- Review lab results for completion and compliance with programs.
- BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- HACCP Plan experience.
- Understanding of government regulations (FDA, USDA).
