Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Control of nonconforming material to include organization and records keeping as well as investigation and supplier communication.
· Coordinates with the engineering, purchasing and production departments for the disposition of non-conforming material.
· Ensures the proper labeling, handling, storage and final disposition (and/or destruction) of non-conforming product.
· Creates inspection records for pass through hardware (COTS)
· Conduct receiving inspection when required.
· Schedule and coordinate calibration of monitoring and measuring equipment.
Minimum Job Requirement:
· Must be 18 years of age
· Must be U.S. Citizen
· Must not be: prohibited from handling or working in proximity to firearms based on laws and regulations outlined and enforced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, & Explosives (BTAFE), or outlined in the Gun Control Act (GCA 1968), or outlined in the National Firearms Act (NFA 1934), or a “prohibited possessor” as outlined by Arizona State Statute (ARS 13-3101)
· Must be comfortable working around firearms
· High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
· Verbal and written skills/abilities
· Knowledge of quality management systems, plans, processes, procedures, tools, and techniques
· Knowledge of and experience with International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements
· Broad knowledge and experience w/in multi-functional design, fabrication, assembly, production firms
· Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints with a basic understanding of GD&T
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
· Ability to use basic measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauge, multimeter)
· Experience using Microsoft office including word, excel and PowerPoint.
Work Environment:
The position will be regularly in an office environment but may occasionally visit field sites where this potential exposure to adverse outside weather conditions such as wet and/or humid environments, extreme cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments. Noise levels will typically be moderate to moderately loud. Some weekend and overtime work may be required; overnight travel may be required with this position (local & International). Must be safety conscious at all times, with a scrupulous eye for firearm carelessness.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time, walking, hearing, seeing, use of hands and arms and the use of legs to lift. Additionally, the employee must physically be able to hold, lift and operate all types of firearms. This individual must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
When in the field employees may be asked to wear protective equipment while in the field which can include reflective gear, hearing protection, work boots, safety glasses, hard hats and bullet resistant vests when in the field.
