Key Responsibilities:
- Managed Service Delivery: Accountable for overseeing and delivering the Comcast Advertising managed services to Xumo and coordinating the overall Xumo-Effectv-Comcast Advertising ad monetization relationship.
- Business Vision and Go-To-Market: Responsible for creating, establishing, and executing a clear and compelling Xumo ad sales business vision and ads business strategy including ad solutions/package development, customer value proposition and sales narratives across all demand channels.
- Achieves Business Goals: Closely monitors revenue and business performance. Acts swiftly to address opportunities or risks, iterate strategy or offering if needed, and share forecast adjustment. The GM is accountable to deliver annual advertising sales revenue budget for Xumo with emphasis on:
- Creating a long-term scaled business, driving monetization through high yield sales channels and models (Addressable, Direct IO, Programmatic Guaranteed, etc.) balanced with revenue goal achievement.
- Building a high performing cross-functional ad monetization team and culture
- Driving awareness and understanding of the Xumo advertising offering and value prop within the marketer and media buying community
- Strong partnership with Effectv, Comcast Advertising, and Xumo
- Responsible financial management to drive long term business goals balanced with near term revenue, expense management, and profitability.
- Develops Ad Sales Strategy: Creates and executes a comprehensive ad sales strategy that identifies opportunities, defines targets, and outlines revenue milestones. Drives the Xumo advertising roadmap with a view to enhancing customer experience and competitive differentiation to achieve near and long-term business goals. Defines advertising specific milestones as part of overall Xumo Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan
- Ad Product, Ad Solution, Ad Package Development: Collaborates with Xumo product teams to define and develop innovative ad products and experiences that meet the evolving needs of advertisers and creates additional market opportunities for Xumo.
- Yield, Ad Operations and Customer Experience: Oversee and work to improve pricing and modeling of Xumo ad products and services with a focus on inventory utilization, cost, margins, and gross profit. And oversees ad operations to maximize revenue delivery, and customer experience across the prospect to pay cycle.
- Patnerships: Oversees business development / partnership strategy in service of delivering on Xumo’s monetization strategy, with both demand and supply partners. Coordinates closely and transparently with Comcast Advertising partnerships team.
- Industry Presence and Trade Brand Development: Engages with key client and agency stakeholders and prospects. Collaborates with Xumo and Comcast Advertising Marketing and Communications teams to establish and define strong trade brand and presence in the advertising industry through thought leadership, partnerships, and industry events.
- Team Building: Direct oversight of Xumo dedicated ad sellers (direct and programmatic), pricing and yield, ad operations, ad product and ad sales marketing/sales development team members/resources. The GM will recruit, manage, and motivate a high-performing cross-functional advertising team, as well as influence, inspire, and ensure necessary guidance, support, and accountability from secondary sales teams.
- Business Partnering: Works closely with Comcast Advertising/Effectv ad integrations and operations, technology, sales development, marketing, finance, and HR in support of revenue operations and client needs. Works closely with Xumo joint venture to ensure tight coordination between audience / supply forecasting and demand forecasting to enable delivery of monetization targets.
- Global Expansion: Collaborates with Xumo and Comcast Advertising to develop international (ex-US) monetization strategy as Xumo continues to scale in other territories.
Experience needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 10+ years delivering cross-functional deliverables in advertising sales / media industry
- 10+ years prior management experience and experience leading teams
- A hands-on, leader, with bias to action, and ability to simultaneously manage the delivery of the day to day while envisioning and building the future.
- Demonstrated success crafting winning strategies and translating them into measurable success
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes, develop ideas, and challenge status quo.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results, collaborate, and influence executives and partner teams across functions (with or without formal authority) and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated ability navigating and leading teams through complexity and uncertainty.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare and present effectively to senior executives.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior leadership/management experience in ad sales, ad operations, ad sales marketing ad strategy, or a related discipline with responsibility and accountability for delivering large revenue streams.
- Prior experience building teams and/or businesses
- Passionate about television, digital, CTV and the opportunity to help shape the future of television and media
- Experience working across the ad product development lifecycle from ideation, to market-fit, pricing, and go-to-market.
- A start-up mentality to problem solving, creating what the organization needs rapidly to deliver business goals.
- Strong discipline and delivery skills, and ability to focus and lead teams to bring projects to conclusion.
- Well-respected executive with relationships within the broader media and advertising industry
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Prior global work experience and/or experience working in matrixed environments.

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $234,423.36 - $351,635.04
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
