We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team in Seattle, WA asQuality Inspector CMM II for our Aerospace division. This is an ideal role for someone who has experience programming and reporting with PC-DMIS software, understands and has experience with GD&T, Aerospace Inspection experience, Manual Inspection experience, experience with  AS9102 FAI forms and experience using Enovia or Catia, 

 

Purpose:

Operates CMM and performs various manual inspections on materials, products, processes and supplier provided components to determine the acceptability of products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects and determines acceptability of customer requirements and verifies compliance to standards i.e NADCAP M&I.
  • Performs first part, in-process, first article and final inspections.
  • Verify that all required documentation is completed to assure process control.
  • Eddy Current and Hardness Testing.
  • Identify trends, assists Quality Engineer and others in developing root cause corrective action analysis and improvement processes.
  • Perform manual inspections as required.
  • Participate in annual internal and external Nadcap audit, checklist review for compliance.
  • Assist with lean/process improvement activities.
  • Audits procedures for adherence to standards.
  • Continuing education classes will be required.
  • Ability to program CMM to perform inspections.
  • Ensures the adherence to company safety and health standards, policies and procedures by monitoring personnel, machinery and work environment.
  • Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements: (equivalent education and/or experience)

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in quality, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a similar field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of Aerospace quality inspection or equivalent experience preferred (ASQ Certified).
  • Knowledge and experience with GD&T, SPC, GR&R.
  • CMM programing experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of all inspection devices and tools required.
  • Experience with MBD, DPD and use of Enovia.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
  • Advanced PC skills are required for (Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Data analysis, MRP)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to follow clear instructions and provide prompt feedback or results.
  • Strong communications skills.
