Position Description:
The Quality Inspector role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and reliability of products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Charged with documenting and photographing both incoming and outgoing finished goods, the Quality Inspector meticulously captures the condition of components against established standards, documenting any deviations or defects according to our ISO9001 certified Quality Management System. With a keen eye for detail, the inspector analyzes blueprints to ensure all applicable specifications and requirements have been met and communicating any concerns to customers promptly. Through their rigorous documentation and clear communication, the Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in upholding quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities Include:
· Uncrating and crating incoming and outgoing product.
· Ensure parts arrive with proper documentation and are prepared for testing.
· Photograph parts upon arrival and after testing to document their condition.
· Complete pre- and post-test inspection reports that document part quality and condition issues.
· Inspect job travelers and work orders to ensure quality of documentation of test results.
· Fill out quality documents that relay important and often technical information to our customers regarding the test outcomes of their parts.
· Communicate complex technical information between - technicians, customers, end-user engineers, office personnel, company management, and delivery drivers.
· Keep an up-to-date inventory of testing equipment housed in our facility and keep track of their in-house location.
· Experience opportunities for cross training and career growth.
Required Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Strong work ethic – we work hard to ensure a timely turn-around for our customers. This position plays a major role in ensuring a smooth operation.
· Communication skills – effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are important to the function of this job.
· Attention to detail – in this detail-oriented industry, this job requires a keen eye to details both small and large, to ensure all standards and requirements are being met.
· Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
· Ability to read and process a blueprint is a strong plus.
· Relevant experience a plus.
