The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspection of manufactured and received material, identification, segregation, control, investigation, and disposition of nonconforming material and calibration of inspection tools, gages and fixtures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Verify accuracy and completeness of products produced at DentalEZ.
Research cause and corrective action of in-house and field complaints.
Act as a member of the Material Review Board.
Calibrate Gages.
Perform custodian responsibilities of gages.
Process gages for calibration to outside labs.
Coordinate with Labs for the calibration of larger equipment.
Auditing of equipment and processes.
First Article Inspections of material received and manufactured in house.
Operate forklift as necessary.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Prompt regular attendance
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma.
Able to read and interpret prints to ANSI Y14.5M.
Ability to use hand inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers).
Proficient in the use of the Coordinate Measurement Machine.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Must be dependable.
Language Skills:
Read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in using the personal computer, including Windows-based applications.
Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar inventory control system.
Authority:
Complete receiving inspection data sheets.
Authority to initiate solutions to quality related problems via change control procedure.
Authority to prevent & segregate nonconforming product.
Remove non-conforming gauges and test equipment from production use.
