An exceptional World Class Tier I Automotive supplier has an immediate need to fill the position of Quality Engineerat their plant located about 50 miles Southwest of Akron, OH. The successful candidate will have a background working as Quality Engineer, QA Engineer, or similar within a Tier I Automotive environment.
Our client is looking to add a Quality Engineer to the team! Our client is a leading global supplier of automotive parts. Our client operate multiple manufacturing and 10 commercial, engineering and testing and tooling facilities in many countries and has less than 10,000 employees worldwide.
- Experienced in using statistical tools, problem solving tools, and methodology. (i.e., 8D, 5Y, Fishbone etc.)
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions resulting from non-conformances.
- Assist with the analysis of SPC data.
- Develop and maintain error-proofing/mistake-proofing methods in manufacturing cells.
- Participate in APQP team activities for IMDS submissions, Control Plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow Charts.
- Manage new processes and implementation regarding new product launches
- Participate on plant continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in customer meetings
- Participate in quality reporting and management review process.
- Provide process improvement recommendations
Qualifications:
Preferred Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or related field is required.
- 3-5 Years Quality Experience
- Proven work experience in process engineering
- Automotive manufacturing experience a plus
- Familiarity of process flow as it relates to lean manufacturing
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
- Effective verbal, non-verbal, negotiation, and written communication skills are required
- Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism while interacting with internal and external customers is required
- Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills are required
- Experience with ISO-16949 and ISO-9001 is preferred
- Experience with IATF is preferred
