JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for gathering relevant, information and data to solve quality related problems. Resolve issues by identifying and applying solutions from acquired technical experience and guided precedents. Plan and lead projects by identifying and organizing activities into time dependent sequencing with realistic timelines. Work effectively / productively with all departments by developing a team atmosphere. Responsible for assuring products conform to established requirements and standards through appropriate audit, inspection, and test activities. Interacts with many different functional departments, suppliers, and experts outside ZimVie to implement ZimVie Quality goals.
EXPECTED AREAS OF COMPETENCE (I.E., KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Ability to work within a team environment and build relationships outside of the department as well as outside the company (customer service, post-market surveillance, R&D, operations, suppliers, regulatory agencies, etc.).
- Facilitates team efforts on Quality Engineering projects.
- Ability to deliver, meet deadlines and have results orientation.
- Able to communicate both orally and in written form to multiple levels of the company.
- Microsoft Office Suite, basic knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, understanding of QSR/ISO regulations, design assurance, FMEA, and product testing methods, and can use optical comparators and CMMs.
- Basic knowledge of statistics, process control, and process capability.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. in engineering or an alternative Bachelor’s degree program is desired but not required.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role, or an equivalent role such as Manufacturing engineer, manufacturing and/or quality technician.
- Combination of education and experience may be considered (in evaluating experience relative to requirements)

Responsibilities:
- Support Complaint Handling and Quality Engineering program deliverables for inspections, investigations, and escalations.
- Assist with QE program for inspection tools and gauges to comply with business and good manufacturing practices requirements.
- Utilize weekly and monthly department forums to effectively keep all stakeholders updated, while providing the opportunity of team members to get visibility of daily and weekly KPI metrics.
- Provide support and leadership for Quality Engineering projects from concept through design, implementation, testing, documentation, support, and maintenance.
- Support in formulating procedures, specifications, and standards for ZimVie products and processes.
- Collect and analyzes customer data for risk management evaluation.
- Support and develop effective data collection and reporting systems to present to upper management.
- Ensure that R&D and Operational partners have necessary information to facilitate and deliver high-quality ZimVie products.
- Communicates and supports control of further processing, delivery, or use of nonconforming products until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected to comply with applicable regulations and standards and addressing quality and regulatory issues.
- Provides support in investigations and reports on supplier corrective actions effectiveness and timeliness including complaint investigations, NCRs, and supplier related CAPAs (SCARs).
- Communicate and collaborate with varying levels of Quality Department.
