Quality Engineer

OMERIN USA, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of French based OMERIN CABLES SAS. The OMERIN group is a family owned and managed global corporation with 16 production sites, 9 sales offices, over 1700 employees, and over 300 million in yearly revenue. OMERIN USA has been manufacturing right here in Meriden CT since 1984.

This position will report directly to the President of OMERIN USA and has direct access to management to pitch ideas and drive progress.
The day-to-day activities will include:
- Responsible for the total quality system at the company
· Responsible for compliance with regulatory standards such as REACH, RoHS, FM, UL, CSA, and ISO
- Coordination of production quality control, non-conformance, and compliance documentation
- Involvement in lean manufacturing activities
· Coordination of all regulatory audits both internal, external, process and product
- Maintaining important quality KPI’s and making decisions for how to improve them
- Keeping accurate data and specifications in the company’s internal database

Requirements:
- Associate degree in any engineering field with 5 years of work experience, preferably in quality
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of the wire and cable industry would be great, but if not then we will teach you
