Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center (SCHHC) is a Critical Access Hospital in Bandon Oregon. Our mission is "Quality healthcare with a personal touch". Are you organized, self-driven, attention-to-detail orientated, and have administrative support skills? SCHHC requires a Quality Data Assistant.
Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center has an opening for a Quality Data Assistant. The Quality Data Assistant assists with the gathering, storing, interpretation, and submission of data. The Assistant is essential in the development of and ensuring the accuracy of the reports and data. At their request, will work with other Department Executives, Managers, and Supervisors to help find and develop reports necessary for the quality improvement process. Develops spreadsheets and graphs data for interpretation and presentation. Works with the Quality Assistant, Infection Control Nurse, Quality and Risk Manager, Medical Quality Director, Quality Governing Board liaison, Executive team, and Committees. Assists Medical Staff Services, and Quality Assistant in collecting and displaying provider data. Functions as an administrator for the risk reporting platform, Clarity, and helps coordinate compliance with this process. Responsibilities include performing specific secretarial duties for committees and other departments as assigned. Oversees various administrative responsibilities.
Skills, Knowledge, & Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education is required. A college degree is preferred.
- Two (2) years of administrative support experience desired. Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to type 65 wpm, note taking ability required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint required.
- Ability to extract, compile, and assimilate data from electronic health records is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to work harmoniously with others, be flexible and adaptable, resourceful, and be a team player.
- Must be organized and prioritize competing tasks as needed.
- Must have accurate English language skills with the ability to edit correspondence as well as prepare drafts for directors upon request.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to use good discretion and judgment as well as be able to maintain full confidentiality as issues arise.
This is a Full-Time position that is eligible for benefits. * SCHHC pays the full employee-only amount for Health, Dental, Vision, and Basic Life & AD&D insurance. *
