The Quality Control Technician performs the in-process Quality Control checks to assure adherence to established quality standards. This includes performing tests and inspection of products at various stages of the production process and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliablity of products. Test are performed using laboratory equipment and instruments such as a balance, extrusion plastometer, microwave ash ovens, gages, and automated instron.
The Quality Control Technnician will also analyze the test reults on defective samples to determine proper disposition. Analyze test results on defective samples to determine proper disposition. Confer with supervision, technicians, production personnel, and other regarding testing procedures and results to resolve problems and reduce off-spec material (OSM).
Effectively maintain open communication between Production, Quality Control, Reaseach & Development, and Color Department staff. Maintain cleanliness in assigned work area. Is aware of the significant impacts, associated impacts and the legal requirements that are inherent with acquired duties.
Is aware of his/her individual Quality, Environmental and OH&S obligations. Ensure that self and co-workers comply with TS16949, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 management system requirements. Ensure that self and co-workers comply with all Advanced Composites and OSHA safety standards in place at this worksite.
