Our client is a fast-growing, natural food importer and manufacturer based in California with subsidiaries in Chicago, IL, and Barcelona. They are committed to making natural and organic food accessible to everyone and are a significant player in the organic food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Director of Quality and conduct routine inspections of finished goods.
- Make real-time decisions affecting order fulfillment and have the authority to hold products based on safety or quality non-conformances.
- Attend contract manufacturers' first productions to monitor quality food handling and safety.
- Conduct annual impromptu quality inspections with contract manufacturers and warehouses.
- Maintain accurate records of Quality Control tests, inspections, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues promptly.
- Assist in developing and updating SOPs for Quality Control processes.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field preferred.
- Current, valid Driver License and proven experience in Quality Control within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, GMP, and HACCP principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G Suite, and ERP systems (SAP Business One preferred).
