The Quality Control Specialist is a member of the Quality Control (QC) team, responsible for providing day to day guidance, training,
and support to a team as well as a wide variety of activities related to ensuring compliance with applicable company and regulatory
requirements. This position is responsible for creation of batch production records (BPRs), releasing work orders in the inventory
management tool, managing deviations impacting BPRs and actively working with cross functional teams like Production, R&D,
Supply Chain, and Planning to investigate Quality-related issues.
Estimated starting hourly base rate is $25.16-33.74 less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, based on company performance factors. Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day to day guidance, training, and support to and on behalf of the Quality Control team in collaboration with
management. - Drive improvement to BPR creation process, procedures, tools, trainings, and programs.
- Review production schedules and ensure batch records are created for planned production.
- Release batch orders in the Inventory Management System.
- Format BPRs to match manufacturing orders, coordinate with Change Control Board (CCB) when run-out situations exist
and multiple BPRs of differing revisions may be needed. - Provide training to new employees and visitors, including Quality topics presented at company New Employee Orientation.
- Document and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for QC department.
- Assist and track investigation of nonconformance products (NCPs) using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and working with crossfunctional
teams. - Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) regulations with a focus on document control regulations.
- Proactively contribute to process improvement with focus on document accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist Lot Review team as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years' experience with quality systems including but not limited to Quality Control.
- Experience with Inventory/Production Management Systems
- Experience with KPI s and RCA s.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and 21CFR Part 111 compliance knowledge.
- Excellent leadership, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to determine root cause of issues and create a proactive solution.
- Efficient organization skills to include electronic files, time management and multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree in administration, sciences, or related field.
- Experience with document control systems.
- Consumer packaged goods (CPG) and/or nutraceutical industry experience.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift
and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
