Responsibilities
As the QC Manager, your responsibilities include:
• Overall management of the Contractor's Quality Control (CQC) with the authority to act in all CQC matters for the Contractor, Herman Construction.
• Your, or your designee's, duties include maintaining current records of Quality Control operations, activities, and tests performed, including the work of subcontractors and suppliers.
• The referenced records shall be on an acceptable form and shall include factual evidence that required Quality Control activities and/or tests have been performed.
As the SSHO you are responsible include:
• Overall management of the Contractor's Safety Program.
• You have the authority to act in all safety matters for the Contractor, Herman Construction.
• Your, or your designee's, duties include maintaining current records of safety operations, activities, training, monitoring, and inspections performed, including the work of subcontractors and suppliers.
• The referenced records shall be in an acceptable form.
• and shall include factual evidence that required safety training, monitoring and inspections of the work site have been performed.
Project Scope of Work
The Contractor shall modify/repair the existing 1st-floor in-patient pharmacy located at the hospital within Joint-Base Elmendorf Richardson AFB to meet USP General Chapters 797/800 criteria along with the current UFC 4-510-01. The current inpatient pharmacy compounding area on the first floor does not comply with current/upcoming sterile compounding (USP General Chapters <797>/<800>) requirements for compounding Category 2 drugs. The scope of this project will correct deficiencies identified. To provide a functional 3-room Compounding Suite, demolish an existing pneumatic tube station (PTS) in Room 1G116 back to the trunk and cap. Construct a segregated compounding area (SCA) in room 1G116 to maintain compounding operations throughout the project. At the conclusion of this project, this room will remain an office. The existing compounding area expands into an adjacent administrative space (Room 1G116), which requires relocating an existing rated wall. The SCA should be constructed using room code PHIV1.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of Resident Management System (RMS).
• Minimum of five years in related work (Federal Construction & Healthcare Facilities).
• USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors Certificate.
• OSHA 30 Card.
• First Aid/CPR completed within the last two years.
• As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Conditions
Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
