Under supervision of the Cancer Registry Director, coordinates Quality Control (QC) activities for cancer data reporting in SC. Works closely with Director and all other Teams to develop QC activities to assess quality, completeness and timeliness of cancer data reporting.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and professional experience as a planner, researcher or statistician. A master's degree in statistics or a related discipline may be substituted for the required work experience. In lieu of preferred bachelor's or associate degree we will accept years of cancer registry experience.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

- Works closely with staff to meet all SC Central Cancer Registry (SCCCR) goals. Plans, develops, and implements formal Quality Control program for the SCCCR in accordance with The North American Association of Central Cancer (NAACCR) and CDC's National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR) data quality standards.
- Designs, performs, assesses, and reports on Quality Control studies, data quality audits, and other assigned projects.
- Coordinates, directs and supervises Quality Control staff evaluates their level of performance. Assists QC staff as needed to complete projects. Manages contract staff and activities associated with QC Team mission.
- Maintains communication and a positive working relationship with all cancer reporting sources to facilitate cooperation.
- Works closely with other registry teams to support them in meeting programmatic and goals and objectives.
