Description:
The Quality Control Lab Analyst performs a wide variety of laboratory tests on raw materials, in process samples, finished products, chemicals, using different equipment.
Schedule is a Rotating Shift of 7am-530pm and 5pm to 330am, 10 hour shifts, 4 day work week
Pay Range is 19-25/hour based on experience
REQUIREMENTS

- Conducts Lab testing such as HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, pH, GC, etc
- Perform all routine qualitative and quantitative analyses, from simple to very complex
- Examine critically test results, entry data into the company ERP computer system.
- Performs calibrations and standardizations of the Quality Control Laboratory equipment and methods
- Complies with standard laboratory procedures to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the laboratory instruments, titrating solutions, reagents, standards
- Maintains the housekeeping of the Quality Control Laboratory
- Participates in and successfully completes all required laboratory training classes
- Understand and comply with all general safety and environmental requirements for the laboratory and additional specific requirements as contained in the standard methods or in special instructions
- Review literature related to the general techniques used in the Quality Control Laboratory
- Learn all of the specific laboratory methods and standard operating procedures outlined by the QC Lab Quality Control Manual
- Work rotating shift schedules, as required
- Typical Shifts are 4, 10 hour shifts per week to include 7am-530pm and 5pm-330am

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Associates degree in a scientific field is the minimum requirement with at least 1 year previous experience in a related position
- BS degree in a scientific field such as Chemistry is preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Strong oral and written English language skills are required.
- Ability to effectively present information to management, and/ or peers
- The ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- High Level of Math skills is required. These skills are consistent with those required for completion of an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field such as: Chemistry or Biology.
- The ability to apply advanced mathematical and statistical concepts
- The ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.
