Job Description
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring the part is produced to the specifications of the job.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Complies with all safety standards, regulations, and training.
- Always wear all personal protective equipment while in the shop.
- Reads and interprets mechanical drawing to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
- Examines and measures completed parts to identify any defects and to ensure conformance with predetermined specifications.
- Use a variety of inspection tools and equipment and property record all dimensions.
- NDT Testing.
- Take all precautions to eliminate rework, and scrap.
- Must meet deadlines, including working overtime when necessary.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area, sweep and clean table daily.
- Must be able and willing to follow verbal directions, communicate with other employees and management in a respectful, positive manner.
- Work well with fellow employees and customers.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks.
- Quality conscious with the ability to meet productivity goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of quality / inspection experience.
- 1 year of NDT Testing experience.
- Prolonged periods of standing and bending required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- The Quality Control Inspector will be exposed to mostly low noise, however, sometimes moderate to high noise levels within the production environment. Occasionally on-site at a customer facility. Possibility for extreme heat, wet, dry, humid conditions.
- We are a certified drug free workplace and subject to pre-employment and random drug screenings.
- No smoking allowed in the buildings.
