Position Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector will be a frontline position within the Quality Assurance Department specifically working in the Fabrication, Welding and wire Departments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Communicate project details and specifications to appropriate manufacturing personnel.
• Assist in first piece quality verifications on projects within targeted departments.
• Performing random quality checks of items being manufactured and alert appropriate staff to any errors or inconsistencies.
• Work with Quality Assurance Manager and Department Supervisors to improve the QA process.
• Verify that all QA processes are being followed by manufacturing team and offer correction and training when appropriate.
• Understand the specific job requirements for each project being manufactured in the targeted departments. Work with Project Managers, Department Supervisors, & QA Manager to fully grasp project details. This includes understanding BOMs, finished assemblies, packaging requirements, and any shipping/delivery expectations. When necessary be willing to communicate any important information or corrections to the appropriate team members.
• Work with Manufacturing team to incorporate Lean fundamentals into the manufacturing process.

• Must be able to read and interpret engineered drawings.
• Must be comfortable incorporating technology into day to day responsibilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• History of working with a team to accomplish organizational and departmental goals.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Able to navigate Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Experience with Manufacturing specific Quality Assurance is required.
• Experience working with LEAN is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing on production floor and working in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to lift 30+ pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Compensation and Benefits commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
