Xceldyne is the global leader in motorsports valve and valvetrain component manufacturing in the world! The Xceldyne engineering and manufacturing facility is focused on titanium, steel, and aluminum performance parts from Formula One and
NASCAR racing engines.

Position Summary: Primary objective is to ensure product compliance in accordance with quality standards.

Quality Control Inspector Job Responsibilities:

• Visually inspects and approves precision components.
• Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual tests and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
• Clocks in and out of jobs to track progress by item regarding approved and scrapped pieces.
• Utilizes measurement equipment, can follow operating instructions and calibration requirements.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures.

Qualifications/Skills:

• 1-2 years’ experience in visual inspection required with the ability to follow specifications and standards
• Blueprint reading capabilities
• Validate first article inspection
• Experience using measuring devices: gauges, micrometers, and calipers
• High attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communicator
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Mathematical skills to calibrate and measure specifications
• Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
• Documentation and reporting competence
• Hand/eye coordination
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Capable of training and assisting other operators with their duties

Physical Requirements:

• Visual assessment for long periods of time
• High level of noise in some areas
• Ability to walk and move about, stoop, kneel, bend and crouch
• Some reaching and grabbing with hands
• Standing for long periods of time
• Able to bend from the waist to load parts and equipment without strain

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
