Job Description
Position Summary:
The QC Engineer will initiate improvements to current manufacturing methods / processes by utilizing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques. This position will also be responsible for various design and drafting activities such as creating and updating product drawings, fixtures, tools and gages.
Must be able to work within a team environment, exhibit good interpersonal skills, leadership and have experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have the ability to use precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
Essential functions include but not limited to:
· Perform CMM measurements on products.
· Understand and follow all in-process and final inspection procedures.
· Inspect product at various stages of the manufacturing process and document inspection results.
· Determine disposition of out of tolerance product and follow non-conforming product procedures.
· Communicate with production managers about repeat non conformance issues.
· Monitor key metrics and make recommendations as to necessary policy changes.
· Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying methods relevant to manufacturing process.
· Provide timely feedback to quality issues raised by staff, customers, and management.
· Focus on long term goal while maintain the day to day requirements.
· Supports certification audits including ISO 9001.
· Maintain the calibration system for Gauges and Equipment.
· Assist the other technicians whenever necessary.
· Must be willing to work reasonable overtime.
· Provide training to other new technicians.
· Provide quality support to Production activities.
· Managing the Internal Audit and provide support to the internal auditors.
· Should follow up on the QC related experiments and provide data and feedback to the immediate supervisor (Quality Manager).
· And other Quality related activities as suggested by the supervisor.
Knowledge/ Skills /Experience:
· A minimum of an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or similar field
· Minimum of three years of work experience
· Demonstrated knowledge of working on CMM instrument.
· Knowledge of statistical and SPC methods
· Knowledge of Microsoft office Products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
· Working knowledge of ISO standards and Internal Audits
· Demonstrated strong analytical problem solving skills
Qualifications: (Preferred but not required)
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
- ISO Lead Auditor
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification

Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule: 8 hour shift [Monday through Friday, 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM. Hours subject to change based on business needs.]
