AMFM Healthcare is looking to add a Quality Control Associate to our team!

The Quality Control Associate is a multidisciplinary, versatile role that helps fuse together multiple organizational functions to ensure our organization is operating at it's maximum potential. The Quality Control Associate is responsible for the timely collection and organization of various pieces of clinical, HR, and billing documentation and helps facilitate the continued correctness in the record of care, both internally via HR and EHR clinical records or external to outside providers, vendors, and stakeholders.

The QC Associate audits and verifies Human Resources charts and communicates required information with the Compliance Department. The QC Associate also participates in clinical audits. One of the Associate’s primary functions is to audit, alert, and correct errors in documentation in the organization's Electronic Health Record, as well as all internal systems.


Compensation: $24.00-$28.00/hour.

Location: Preferred in-person at our San Juan Capistrano, CA office, however this is a Remote Eligible position.

Qualifications and Skills required:

  1. Education Requirement: Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Business or related field. Bachelor's preferred.
  2. Possess valid driver’s license.
  3. Ability to pass a State and Federal background check.
  4. Experience Preferred: Experience working in Quality or Compliance in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

The Quality Control Associate will be responsible for all the following, and additional duties may be removed or assigned as needed. These include but are limited to:

  1. Ensure the integrity of the Record of Care for the organization, including the following:
    1. Ensure the timely completion of group notes by clinicians and support staff
    2. Be the primary liaison between the Billing Department and the Clinical Department for communicating deficiencies that need to be addressed.
  2. Establish and maintain an organizational system for all information.
    1. Verify Group Progress Notes and Group Attendance Sheets.
    2. Verify documentation for clients.
    3. Report total hours of attendance for accurate billing.
    4. Verify and report on the attendance of clients and their participation in clinical groups.
  3. Actively investigate discrepancies found during routine audits.
  4. Enter billing information into billing software.
    1. Enter all new clients into the system.
    2. Enter all authorizations obtained by the UR department.
  5. IOP and OP schedule
    1. Create a schedule for all IOP and OP clients living in transitional leaving homes or at home.
  6. Verify individual level of care
    1. When a client’s level of care changes, verify the hour requirement with the UR team.
    2. Relay information to appropriate teams for each client’s individual day and hour requirement.
  7. Maintain the Human Resources database in ADP and the Human Resources internal Google Drive database, safeguarding and ensuring accuracy and completeness of all company personnel files and required documentation for continued employment.
  8. Improve on processes in order to decrease errors and actively engage in the performance improvement process of the organization as it relates to our goal of continuous quality improvement.
  9. Conduct onboarding for new hires, ensuring that they have successfully completed all required documentation and facilitate their transition into the workforce.
  10. Maintain accurate LiveScan records, verify Identification and licensure for employees, and maintain associated databases to ensure all staff meet requirements to work.
