Purpose of the position
Hiab is looking for Quality Assurance Technician to perform quality inspections and stability/load testing on cranes and trucks. Conduct measuring, inspection and testing procedures during core processes to ensure that products comply with standards.This position is primarily outside all year around.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Conduct activities involving Quality Assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Audits and reviews quality data according to existing documents and procedures
- Performs inspections and sets Quality Assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products
- Prepares data sets, to test logic, error handling and system workflows
- Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects. Verifies fixes
- Communicate problems with the Shop Supervisor
- Perform test drive (if you hold a Class B CDL)
- Resolve issues with Tech Support
- Is expected to learn how to properly test and inspect cranes, trucks, and other equipment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- High School diploma/equivalent required
Working experience:
- Experience working with cranes; Hiab preferred
- CDL Class B preferred
Skills and competencies:
- Knowledge of trucks and truck maintenance
- Mechanical background
- Good communication skills
- Capable of operating independently
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
