ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Head of Sales Engineering at Tonkean, you'll lead a team of pre-sales engineers in architecting tailored solutions that address the unique needs of our clients. Your role will involve driving the pre-sales process, collaborating closely with Sales teams to understand client requirements, and developing compelling demonstrations that showcase the transformative potential of the Tonkean platform. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our solutions architecture, ensuring alignment with client objectives and driving successful outcomes throughout the sales cycle.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Lead and mentor a team of Solutions Architects, providing guidance and support in discovering and optimizing clients' business processes
Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Success teams to understand client requirements and develop tailored solutions that showcase the value of the Tonkean platform
Utilize your expertise in process optimization to identify efficiency gains and drive continuous improvement across various business verticals
Deliver compelling presentations and custom technical demos to senior stakeholders, including Directors, VPs, and Executives at Fortune 1000 companies
Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and maximizing the value they derive from our platform
Serve as a Tonkean Subject Matter Expert, offering insights and technical expertise to both internal teams and external clients
Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to shape the future direction of the Tonkean platform, driving innovation and expansion
Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and tutorial videos to support customer success and enable self-service
ABOUT YOU
Extensive experience in a leadership role within a Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or similar function, with a track record of driving success and delivering value to clients
Proven expertise in process design and optimization, with hands-on experience in implementing business processes across diverse industries
Familiarity with Web applications, REST APIs, Data integrations, and Webhooks, enabling you to architect complex solutions tailored to clients' needs
Strong understanding of SaaS, Cloud, and common software environments, coupled with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues effectively
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience in procurement tech is required, with specific knowledge of Coupa, SAP Ariba, or P2P software considered a significant advantage
BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field; advanced qualifications or certifications are a plus
