Job Description

The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) will work cooperatively with the lead Quality Assurance manager (QAM) to provide programmatic support throughout the organization, in order to assist in the assurance of high-quality services and to ensure all programs are in compliance with state regulations. The primary responsibility of the QAS is to ensure internal quality standards are being met.  The QAS will act as the technical expert for all electronic programmatic applications such as Therap.  The QAS will also provide administrative and programmatic support for identified Quality Assurance and quality improvement initiatives and projects.

Core Responsibilities:

• Participate in continuous Quality Assurance and quality improvement initiatives and projects.
• Review staff training content, offer recommendations based on quality indicators, and facilitate trainings in conjunction with current regulatory, agency and company requirements, and policy.
• Provide area specific support based on identified quality improvement needs.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the Quality Assurance Department systems and procedures.
• To know and assure implementation of all organizational policies and procedures.
• To properly and effectively use relevant computer software applications and other technologies to augment support services and complete administrative duties. Be the technical expert for all programmatic software applications.

Qualifications

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. High school diploma or GED certificate is required and Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 
3. Must have at least one year of experience working with people with disabilities.
4. Must possess the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects, and process and track information with speed and accuracy.
5. Must have good technical, decision making, time management, and communication skills, and be responsible, mature, and flexible.
